Nigeria and Angola have signed a bilateral agreement on the sidelines of the 39th AU summit to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official passports.
The deal, signed on February 15 by Nigeria’s Foreign Minister Yusuf Maitama Tuggar and Angola’s Minister of External Relations Tete Antonio, is expected to ease official engagements between both governments by removing administrative barriers.
The agreement reflects growing diplomatic ties between West and Southern Africa’s two largest oil producers and comes amid broader continental efforts to ease travel restrictions through the African Continental Free Trade Area framework.
