Wizkid and Asake have released “Jogodo” as the lead single from Wizkid’s upcoming EP, REAL (Vol. 1). The collaboration brings together two of Nigeria’s most influential artistes. Independent label EMPIRE officially released the song in the late hours of January 15, 2026.
“Jogodo” marks the first official release from the joint EP by Wizkid and Asake. The announcement was made through EMPIRE’s social media platforms.
EMPIRE wrote on X:

Wizkid and Asake previously collaborated on “MMS” from Asake’s 2024 album Lungu Boy, a track that later earned a Grammy nomination. The duo have also shared stages at major events, including Asake’s Red Bull Symphonic concert.
Wizkid first announced the joint project during an Apple Music takeover late last year, stating that the EP would be released in December 2025. Asake later confirmed the same timeline.
When December passed without the EP’s release, some fans on X jokingly referred to Wizkid as “Starboy liar” over the delay.
REAL (Vol. 1) EP Details
The EP, titled REAL (Vol. 1), is a four-track project scheduled for release on January 23, 2026.
